When a lead comes in at 9:47 PM on a Friday, you’re not at your desk. But MoveRight is. The AI follow-up system texts the lead within 2 minutes, keeps the conversation going, and makes sure no lead goes cold before you can call them back.
What this does
MoveRight’s AI sends automatic texts to new leads on your behalf. It handles the first contact, asks qualifying questions, and buys you time until you can make a personal call.
Who uses this
Sales agents — the AI is your safety net for after-hours leads. Sales managers — configure the AI tone and timing. Owners — the AI is what makes speed-to-lead possible 24/7.
Before you start
- Your phone system or web forms must be connected to MoveRight so leads create opportunities automatically
- You’ve completed How Leads Enter MoveRight
How the AI works
When it triggers
The AI sends a text within 2 minutes of a new lead entering MoveRight. It triggers for:
- Phone calls (answered or voicemail)
- Web form submissions
- Manual lead entries (if you create an opportunity and don’t call within 5 minutes)
It does not trigger for:
- Leads you’ve already contacted today
- Leads you’ve manually marked as “Contacted”
- Leads in “Closed Won” or “Lost” stages
What it says
The AI texts from your company name, not “MoveRight.” The first message is warm and simple:
“Hi [Name], this is [Your Company]. Thanks for reaching out about your move! We’ll review your details and get back to you shortly. — [Your Team]”
The AI can also ask follow-up questions if the customer responds:
“Great question! To give you the most accurate quote, could you tell me roughly how many rooms you’re moving?”
What it doesn’t do
The AI does not:
- Quote prices or rates
- Commit to a move date
- Sign estimates or collect payments
- Replace your personal call — it buys time, it doesn’t close deals
The AI’s job is to make sure every lead gets a response fast. Your job is to follow up with a real conversation.
Configuring AI follow-up
Your Sales Manager or Owner can configure:
- Response time — default is 2 minutes, adjustable
- Message tone — casual, professional, or custom templates
- Follow-up cadence — how many texts, how far apart
- Quiet hours — when to stop texting (e.g., 9 PM – 7 AM)
- Handoff trigger — when to send you an alert instead of texting again
To access settings, go to Settings → AI Follow-Up.
The handoff to you
When the AI has been texting a lead and they ask a question it can’t answer (pricing, availability, specific dates), you get an alert on your MoveRight dashboard and by push notification:
“Lead [Name] is asking about pricing. Call them now.”
This is your cue. Call within 5 minutes of the alert. The AI already warmed them up — they know your company, they’ve been texting, and they’re ready for a real conversation.
Reviewing AI conversations
You can see every AI text exchange in the opportunity communication log. Before you call a lead, read the AI conversation:
- What questions did they ask?
- What did they say about their move?
- Did they mention a specific date or budget?
This context makes your first call way more productive. You skip the intake questions and get straight to quoting.
Common questions
Can I turn off AI follow-up for specific leads? Yes. Mark the lead as “Contacted” and the AI stops. You can also turn it off for specific sources if you handle those channels differently.
What if the AI texts a spam lead? You can’t prevent spam leads from getting the initial text. But if you mark the opportunity as “Spam” or “Lost,” the AI stops following up. Review your leads once a day and clean up the junk.
Does the AI work on weekends? Yes — that’s the whole point. It runs 24/7 unless you set quiet hours. Weekend leads get texted immediately. You call them back Monday morning.
