The Crew Optimizer gives you a starting point. But you know your crew — who works well together, who knows the neighborhood, who’s been on a similar job before. Manual adjustments are how you apply that local knowledge.
What this covers
Adding, moving, and removing crew members from jobs — two methods for each: drag-and-drop and the edit form.
Who uses this
Dispatchers do this daily. Owners do it when managing their own schedule.
Adding crew members
Method A: Drag and drop
-
Find the crew member in the crew list on the left

-
Drag their name onto the job card

-
They’re immediately assigned — no save step needed

Method B: Edit form
-
Click the job card to open it

-
Click the “Select crew…” field

-
Type the crew member’s name to search

-
Select them from the dropdown — you can add multiple at once

-
Click the green Save button

Important: If you close the edit form without clicking Save, the assignment will not be applied.
Moving crew between jobs
-
Drag a crew member from one job card onto a different job card

-
MoveRight automatically removes them from the original job and assigns them to the new one

This is how you handle last-minute swaps — if a crew member finishes early on one job, drag them to the next one.
Removing crew members (unassigning)
Method A: Drag and drop
-
Drag the crew member’s name off the job card back to the crew list

-
They’re immediately unassigned

Method B: Edit form
-
Click the job card to open the edit form

-
Click the X next to the crew member’s name to remove them — you can remove multiple at once

-
Click Save
