Step 3 of 8

Adding Your Team and Setting Roles

Create user accounts, assign roles, and control what each team member can see and do in MoveRight.

MoveRight gives every team member their own account with exactly the access they need. A sales agent shouldn’t see the owner’s financial reports. A crew member shouldn’t edit estimates. Roles keep things clean and secure.

What this covers

This guide shows you how to add team members and assign roles.

Who uses this

Owners and sales managers. You’ll add users as part of onboarding and whenever someone joins or leaves the team.

Roles in MoveRight

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything — settings, billing, team management, all reports
Sales ManagerManage pipeline, view rep analytics, coach agents, configure sequences
Sales AgentCreate opportunities, build estimates, follow up with leads, send invoices
On-Site EstimatorView assigned estimate appointments, build estimates on mobile, add inventory
Virtual EstimatorBuild estimates remotely, send estimates, view assigned leads
DispatcherAssign crews and trucks, manage the dispatch board, update job status
Crew LeadView assigned jobs, update job status, collect signatures, record payments on-site
Crew MemberView assigned jobs, update job status, capture inventory

Steps

1. Open Team Settings

From the dashboard, go to Settings → Team.

2. Click “Add Team Member”

Click the + Add Team Member button in the top right.

3. Enter their information

  • Full name
  • Email address — they’ll receive an invitation to set their password
  • Phone number — used for SMS notifications and two-factor authentication
  • Role — select from the dropdown

4. Assign to a zone (if applicable)

If your company operates in multiple zones or locations, assign the user to their zone. They’ll only see leads and jobs in their zone.

5. Configure their notifications

Choose what notifications they receive:

  • New lead assigned to me
  • Estimate viewed or signed
  • Deposit received
  • Job reminder (48-hour and morning-of)
  • Daily pipeline summary (for managers)

6. Send the invitation

Click Send Invitation. The new team member gets an email with a link to set their password and log in.

Managing existing users

From the Team Settings page, you can:

  • Edit — change name, email, role, or zone
  • Deactivate — remove access without deleting their history (they disappear from the team list but their past actions stay in the record)
  • Reset password — send a password reset link

Tip: When someone leaves, deactivate their account instead of deleting it. This preserves the history of which opportunities they worked and which estimates they sent.

Unlimited users

All MoveRight plans include unlimited users. You never pay extra for adding team members — whether you have 2 people or 20, the price stays the same.
